Chelsea legend Gianluca Vialli has hailed the impact Italian managers have made in the Premier League.
Vialli, 46, was a trailblazer after he took the reins at Stamford Bridge from 1998-2000. The current table is dominated by his countrymen, with the current top six featuring Chelsea Carlo Ancelotti, Manchester City's Roberto Mancini and surprise package West Bromwich Albion's Roberto Di Matteo.
Speaking to Tuttosport, Vialli believed their presence is dispelling stereotypical notions of Italian football.
He said: "Among the top six teams in the standings, three are coached by Italians - Chelsea by Ancelotti, City by Mancini and WBA by Roberto Di Matteo. The other two are coached by a Scot and a Frenchman.
"We are not bad at the job. And I also think that thanks to us, the old stereotype of the Latin player being a diver has been dispelled. We have demonstrated professionalism and creativity."
