A Russian analyst has said that the peace process in the Middle East was passing through a real crisis that culminated in the current stalled negotiations between the PA in Ramallah and Israel.
Sergey Demidenko told Voice of Russia on Wednesday that negotiations would continue for a long period, predicting the Palestinians would embark on a third intifada and Israel would launch new military attacks.
He said that both parties were rejecting international initiatives especially Israel.
Demidenko opined that Israel would continue in the settlement building regardless the decision to freeze construction was renewed or not.
Commenting on the same negotiations process, Kayed Al-Ghoul, a politburo member of the popular front for the liberation of Palestine (PFLP), said in a televised interview on Tuesday that the negotiations would not lead to any results in favor of the Palestinian people.
He called on de facto Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas to desist from further rounds of talks with Israel and to respect the decisions by Palestinian national institutions and to take into consideration the positions of the Palestinian political forces and public opinion.
